Required update to ArcGIS Platform location services
On January 27th, 2021, new ArcGIS Platform ready-to-use services location services and pricing were released. The new location services offer many benefits such as API key support and the ability to track and monitor usage in your developer dashboard.
If you have developed an application that doesn't use the new location services, depending on the type of account, API, and authentication implemented, you may be required to update your applications to use the new ArcGIS Platform location services.
In most cases this involves updating the URLs to the new service endpoints.
If you have an ArcGIS Developer account and have developed applications or solutions that use ArcGIS Online services other than ArcGIS Platform location services, you must update the applications to the ArcGIS Platform location services within the timeline below. In most cases, this is before April 30, 2022.
However, if you have built applications or solutions that require users to sign in with their ArcGIS Identity as the authentication mechanism to access location services, those applications are not subject to the timelines below, and no changes are required.
If you have an ArcGIS Online account or ArcGIS Enterprise account and have developed applications or solutions that use ArcGIS Online services other than ArcGIS Platform location services, the timeline below does not apply.
