Stakeholders taking part in broadband expansion must determine the costs for various fiber planning scenarios–quick and easy. Fast@Home leverages the ArcGIS platform to optimize fiber networks to keep the necessary costs for construction and material to a minimum thus reducing the time to market.
To help customers manage their projects, Fast@Home has both a Software-as-a-Service and on premise solution that combines Web AppBuilder with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Server. The application can handle various sets of customer-specific parametrization (network types, conduit types, cable types, closure types, blowing length, costs) and minimization costs through mathematical optimization. They use many standard widgets, as well as several custom widgets for different workflows including importing data, analysis and exporting data. Currently the system manages approximately 250,000 addresses of fiber connections.
Fast@Home provides critical workflows for broadband analysis using Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS. The implementation leverages custom widgets for industry-specific use cases.
