Built on top of ArcGIS OnlineArcGIS Online is a GIS mapping, analytics, data hosting, and content management software as a service (SaaS) product. It includes applications, tools, APIs, and location services for users and developers. Why use ArcGIS Hub?

ArcGIS Hub is available in two license levels and two deployment options - Esri hosted software as a service in ArcGIS Online, or self-hosted geospatial infrastructure in ArcGIS Enterprise.

Integrate - Use ArcGIS Hub Search API to access Hub content and connect datasets with external systems and applications.
Extend: Customize Hub pages or build custom web apps with ArcGIS Maps SDKs to reuse Hub content.
