Answers to frequently asked questions about ArcGIS Hub are provided.
To determine which license of ArcGIS Hub you're using, check the footer of the page when viewing a workspace. You will see either ArcGIS Hub Basic or ArcGIS Hub Premium.
When an organization upgrades to an ArcGIS Hub Premium license, existing content is not impacted. You will have access to additional features, such as the ability to create initiatives, projects, events, and discussion boards.
ArcGIS Enterprise Sites (via ArcGIS Enterprise) provides a subset of the features that are available in ArcGIS Hub Basic. This includes most of the site and page creation, layout design, and content management functionality that is popular with our customers. ArcGIS Enterprise Sites is a great option for organizations unable to use ArcGIS Online or for customers who wish to have more control over when their technology version is updated. With ArcGIS Enterprise, you can manage your data, mapping and visualization, and location analytics on-premises with infrastructure that you control. With ArcGIS Hub, you can leverage ArcGIS Online infrastructure, and use the latest features in a tool optimized for the web. Enterprise Sites is suitable if your policies prohibit use of ArcGIS Online and/or you want to create sites for internal audiences. ArcGIS Enterprise Sites does not include the ability to upgrade to ArcGIS Hub Premium.
ArcGIS Hub is available with all ArcGIS Online subscriptions. If you have an ArcGIS Online account through your organization (or institution, company, university, and so on), you can use ArcGIS Hub. To use ArcGIS Hub Premium, your organization must upgrade to an additional license of ArcGIS Hub.
