Support for response caching
If your hosting server has an object store registered, you can enable response caching for custom data feature services. Custom data feature service requests must be made by a client that supports response caching such as ArcGIS Pro, a web app created with the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript (e.g. Map Viewer), or a native application built with the ArcGIS Maps SDKs. New feature layer creation interfaces in Portal for ArcGIS
When creating a custom data feature service in Portal for ArcGIS, users now have the ability to explicitly pick the ArcGIS server site on which to deploy the custom data feature service. The custom data provider you wish to use must already be registered on the desired server site. In the Portal for ArcGIS Home app, navigate to Content -> New item -> Feature layer -> Use a custom data provider to view the workflow.
