Description

Creates a new version in an enterprise geodatabase. The version will have public access. Version names are case sensitive and should take the form {'{'}owner{'}'}.{'{'}version{'}'}, for example, sde.DEFAULT.

Request parameters

(Optional)

Specifies the response format. The default response format is html.

Values: html | json | pjson

name

(Required)

Name of the version to create. This must not have any owner prefix.

parentVersion

(Required)

Name of an existing version on which to base the new child version. This must be a full version name with an owner prefix.

description

A description of the new version.

lrsId

A unique ID that identifies an LRS workspace. Refer to the LRS service resource for a list of LRS workspaces and their IDs.

If there is only one LRS workspace referenced by the map service, that LRS is used by default. Otherwise, the lrsId parameter is required.
