What's new in 11.4

Support for Java-based extensions (SOEs and SOIs) on image services published in ArcGIS Enterprise deployed on Kubernetes environment

ArcGIS Enterprise now supports deploying Java-based server object extensions (SOEs) and server object interceptors (SOIs) on image services in a Kubernetes environment. Java-based SOEs and SOIs developed with ArcGIS Enterprise SDK 11.4 can be enabled on image services. To enable Java-based SOEs and SOIs on image services:

  • Use the item details page for image layers in the home app to enable the extensions.

  • Alternatively, enable the extensions through ArcGIS Pro while publishing a new image service.

The steps to create Java-based SOEs and SOIs are the same for both ArcGIS Enterprise target environments (Windows/Linux and Kubernetes).
