System requirements for 100.14

This page lists system requirements for the 100.14 release of ArcGIS Runtime API for Java. System requirements for recent previous releases are linked to from the bottom of this page. For older system requirements, see past guide versions in PDF format on the downloads page.

Hardware requirements

Video/graphics adapter	Windows applications require support for DirectX 11. Linux applications require support for OpenGL 3.2 and Shader Language 1.3 minimum. macOS applications require OpenGL version 4.1

Software requirements

The current version of ArcGIS Runtime API for Java has been tested against JavaFX 11.0.2 and JavaFX 17.0.1 and both Java 11 and Java 17. Supported versions of the JDK are as follows:

Java 17

Adoptium's OpenJDK 17.0.2+8.
OpenJDK 17.0.2+8.
Oracle's JDK 17.0.2+8.

Java 11

Adoptium's OpenJDK 11.0.14.1+1.
OpenJDK 11.0.14.1+1.
Oracle's JDK 11.0.14.1+1.

Since Java 11, the JavaFX SDK has not been bundled with the JDK. You must configure JavaFX separately. The Runtime depends on the following JavaFX modules:

javafx.controls
javafx.web
javafx.fxml
javafx.media

Windows platforms will require Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2019.

Linux installations must not have modified operating system binaries such as kernel or glibc.
