It simulates adding an atmosphere to the surface of the globe in the scene view.
The AtmosphereEffect can be one of:

Enums. | (1) A simple atmosphere effect applied to the surface's horizon only. This is not resource intensive. |
Enums. | (2) A more realistic atmosphere effect. Looks the best but is resource intensive. |
