System requirements for 1.4.0

The current plugin version supports Unreal Engine 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3.

This page provides ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unreal Engine requirements that may differ from the minimum requirements for the Unreal Engine editor. Links are provided to the Unreal Engine documentation where you can find additional system requirements information.

Development system requirements

To develop applications with Unreal Editor, see the Unreal Engine specifications for your environment.

The following system or software versions are supported by ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unreal Engine:

Windows

Operating systems:

  • Windows 11 version 21H2 (build 22000) or higher
  • Windows 10 version 21H2 (build 19044) or higher

Development environments:

  • Visual Studio 2022 17.4 or higher (Unreal Engine 5.2 and 5.3)
  • Visual Studio 2019 v16.11.5 or higher (Unreal Engine 5.0 and 5.1)

macOS

Operating systems:

  • macOS 14 (Sonoma)
  • macOS 13 (Ventura)
  • macOS 12 (Monterey)

Processor architectures:

  • Apple Mac computer with Intel processor (x86-64)
  • Apple Mac computer with Apple silicon (M1, M2)

Deployment system requirements

Requirements for deploying applications developed with Unreal Engine can vary by platform. See the Unreal Engine release notes for system requirements for target platforms:

The following system or software versions are supported to run an application built with ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unreal Engine. For mobile platforms, see the specific Unreal Engine requirements.

Windows

Operating systems:

  • Windows 11 version 21H2 (build 22000) or higher
  • Windows 10 version 21H2 (build 19044) or higher

All applications built with ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unity, and deployed on Windows, require: Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015-2022 version 14.37.32822 minimum.

macOS

Operating systems:

  • macOS 14 (Sonoma)
  • macOS 13 (Ventura)
  • macOS 12 (Monterey)

Processor architectures:

  • Apple Mac computer with Intel processor (x86-64)
