System requirements for 200.2

This page lists system requirements for the 200.2 release of ArcGIS Maps SDK for Java. System requirements for recent previous releases are linked to from the bottom of this page. For older system requirements, download past guide versions on the downloads page. The downloads are in HTML, which you can install and run locally.

Developing apps on macOS

A Mac computer running an operating system listed below:

Developing apps on Windows

Supported operating systems:

  • Windows 11 (64-bit) version 21H2 (build 22000) or higher
  • Windows 10 (64-bit) version 1809 (build 17763) or higher
  • Windows Server 2022 Standard and Datacenter (64-bit)
  • Windows Server 2019 Standard and Datacenter (64-bit)

Software requirements

The current version of ArcGIS Maps SDK for Java has been tested against JavaFX 17 and Java 17. Supported versions of the JDK are as follows:

You must configure JavaFX separately. The ArcGIS Maps SDK for Java depends on the following JavaFX modules:

  • javafx.controls
  • javafx.web
  • javafx.fxml
  • javafx.media
  • javafx.graphics

Windows platforms will require

Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable version 14.33.31629 minimum.

Linux installations must not have modified operating system binaries such as kernel or glibc.

Apps built with ArcGIS Maps SDK for Java can be deployed to a wide variety of hardware that meet the software system requirements. The table below outlines the minimum recommended hardware to achieve good performance on desktop platforms.
