The general steps on how to share an item.
1. Select the item
To share an item:
- Log in to ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise and navigate to the Content section.
- Find the specific item you want to share and click on it.
- Look for the Share button, usually represented by an icon with two people.
2. Choose a sharing level
Once you click Share, a window will appear, presenting sharing options. Choose the audience you want to share with:
- Owner
- My Organization
- Everyone
You can also share to a specific group by configuring Set group sharing > Edit group sharing.
If you need to share with specific individuals outside your organization, you can add them by entering their usernames or email addresses. Optionally, include a message to provide context or instructions.
3. Click share
Once the share levels are configured, click Share to apply the changes. Make sure the item's details to verify the sharing settings.
