ArcGIS location services
ArcGIS location services consist of two types of services: 1) ready-to-use services such as the basemap layer service and geocoding service, and 2) data services that are created to host your data. Each service provides a unique set of functionality that can be accessed through a REST API.
Location services
Location services are ready-to-use services that provide basemap layer, geocoding, routing, spatial and demographic analysis, and other types of location-based capabilities.
Basemap layer service
Streets, satellite, and other basemap styles for maps and scenes.
Geocoding service
Search for addresses, businesses, and places around the world.
Routing service
Get turn-by-turn directions and solve advanced routing problems.
GeoEnrichment service
Get demographic data and generate reports for geographic areas.
Data services
Data services are services that are created to host, manage, and access your data. You use data management tools to import, create, and publish your data as different service types such as a feature service or vector tile service.
Feature service
Add, update, delete, and query feature data.
Vector tile service
Store and access vector tile data.
Image tile service
Store and access image tile data.
