feature layer view

A feature layer view, also known as a view, is a that only exposes a subset of the fields and data available in an existing feature layer (source). A view supports the same functionality as a feature layer, but only allows a subset of the original data to be accessed and displayed. If the underlying data changes in the original feature layer, the changes are also reflected in the view.
