offline application

An offline application is an application that runs on a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop device without requiring a network connection. Offline applications are built with ArcGIS Maps SDKs for Native Apps. An offline application uses offline maps, offline data, data files, or mobile packages. Offline applications can view and edit maps, scenes, and data and support geocoding, routing and navigation, and data analysis without a network connection.
