service area

A service area is a polygon representing the distance that can be reached when traveling in a street network within a time frame. This type of analysis is common in a real estate search for determining the driving proximity to schools, businesses, or other facilities. For example, how many hospitals are within a 5, 10, and 15 minute drive. Service areas are created using the routing service.
