barrier

A barrier is a geometric feature that alters which streets a route can traverse in a street network. It can be a point , line, or polygon. It is used to restrict travel or proportionally scale the time or distance required to travel in a street network. Barriers often represent incidents such as traffic incidents, fallen trees, electrical lines, or flood areas that impose some form of impedance upon finding routes. Barriers are an input parameter used to find a route with the routing service.
