A hosted vector tile layer is a hosted layer (item) in a portal that is used to manage the properties and settings of a vector tile service. It is accessible through an item page which is used to manage the vector tile layer's properties and capabilities. A hosted vector tile layer is typically created using data management tools to create (publish) them from existing feature layers. Client applications can access vector tile data through a hosted vector tile layer and display the tiles in maps and scenes.
