hosted map tile layer

A hosted map tile layer is a hosted layer (item) in a portal that is used to manage the properties and settings of an map tile service. It is accessible through an item page which is used to manage the layer's properties and service's capabilities. Hosted map tile layers are used to access map tiles. A hosted map tile layer is typically created by using data management tools to create (publish) them from existing hosted feature layers. Client applications can access map tile data through a hosted map tile layer and display the data in maps and scenes.
