hosted feature layer
A hosted feature layer is reference to a feature layer in a feature service that is stored in ArcGIS. It is accessible through an item, which is used to manage the layer's properties and capabilities. A hosted feature layer is typically created using data management tools to import data in formats such as CSV, GeoJSON, or shapefiles. Client applications can access features through a hosted feature layer and display them in maps and scenes.
