An IPS aware map is a map that allows you to locate yourself indoors by displaying your current position on a map. In ArcGIS, “IPS-aware map” additionally refers to a map that includes a reference to an Indoor Positioning Data Service, a web feature service that contains data required to support indoor positioning with ArcGIS IPS. ArcGIS Maps SDKs for Native Apps also supports classic setups where the positioning data is made available in a file format and attached to a table called "IPS_Positioning" that is included in a map.
