A travel mode is the means of transportation, such as walking or driving, that defines how you can travel in a street network. It is used to determine which parts of a street network can be traveled, for example, obeying one-way streets when driving or restricting highways when walking. It also defines the characteristics of the vehicle or pedestrian such as the maximum travel speed or the height of a vehicle. Travel mode is an input parameter used to find routes with the Routing service.
