Personal scope is a permission level for privileges. Personal scope privileges require additional privileges from your ArcGIS account and should only be used in personal applications and automated scripts. Access tokens that have personal scope privileges can be used to obtain information about the associated ArcGIS account, and as such represent an additional security risk.
The following privileges fall within the personal scope:
- Analysis privileges
- Portal service privileges (General)
- Portal service privileges (Admin)
Both API key credentials and OAuth credentials can be granted personal scope privileges. Developer credentials that have been granted any personal privileges are labeled in your portal as AP or O.
