ArcGIS Basemap Styles service

The ArcGIS Basemap Styles service, also referred to as the Basemap Styles service, is a location service hosted by Esri. It is a data source that provides basemap styles and data for the world. It returns styles as Mapbox styles and web maps, and data as vector tiles and/or map tiles. It supports styles in the ArcGIS Basemap styles and Open Basemap styles family such as arcgis/streets, arcgis/navigation, arcgis/outdoor, arcgis/light-gray, arcgis/imagery (satellite), and open/osm-style. It provides vector tiles and/or map tiles depending on the type of data sources referenced in the style. The service also supports setting style preferences such as language, worldview, and places. Custom basemap styles can be created from the default styles by using the ArcGIS Vector Tile Style Editor.

The service is available to developers who have an ArcGIS Location Platform account or ArcGIS Online account.

The service is not available to developers who have an ArcGIS Enterprise account.
