Standard scope is a permission level for privileges. Standard scope privileges can be used in any application including public applications. Access tokens with standard scope privileges assigned to them do not require any special permissions from your ArcGIS account.
The following privileges fall within the standard scope:
- Location service privileges
- Item access privileges (to access secure data services)
Both API key credentials and OAuth credentials can be granted privileges in the standard scope. Developer credentials that have been granted only standard privileges are labeled in your portal as AP or O.
