A Software Development Kit (SDK) is a collection of software development tools for building applications. They typically consist of an API, documentation, tools, and samples. Examples of SDKs are the ArcGIS Maps SDKs which can be used to build applications with ArcGIS services. Other ArcGIS SDKs such as ArcGIS Pro SDK for .NET contain frameworks that can be used to extend applications including ArcGIS Pro.
