A feature layer (server-side) is a spatially-enabled table in a feature service consisting of features that share the same geometry type (point, polyline, or polygon) and the same fields. A feature layer (server-side) is typically created by importing data in Shapefile, GeoPackage, geoJSON, CSV, and other file formats with data management tools. Client applications and APIs can query, edit, and display features from a feature layer (server-side). Feature layers (server-side) are accessed with a feature service URL with an id
or an item ID. Features in a feature layer (server-side) typically represent real-world geographic entities.
